Price list for alterations at JANUARY 2014

Basic price is £13 per hour, £7 for 30 minutes, minimum charge for a job is £3.

Standard prices for suit or tailored jackets:

    Shorten sleeves with vent w buttons £22, w/o vents £12
    Reduce width in back, with vents £20, w/o vents £15

    Shorten jacket or coat £30 to £50 depending on vents/pleats

    Replace zip in casual jacket, £15 to £22 incl cost of zip

Trousers and jeans:

    Alter waist in or out £10
    Shorten length, machined (see stitches on outside) £8
                       by hand (invisible) w/o tape inside    £13
                       by hand (invisible) with tape inside   £16
                       jeans £8, heavy denim £10

    Taper legs - from £9 to £20

Skirts and dresses:

     Replace zip in skirt: old style (traditional) £11, concealed zip £15, may vary depending on zip.

     Replace zip in dress, £18 for old style (traditional), concealed £23.

     Reshape dress - price varies with style and construction of dress.

     Shorten evening /bridesmaid /wedding dresses, £8 for each under layer (£16 for doubled layer), £12 for simple outer layer.

Shirts:

      Shorten sleeves (move up cuff) £9
      Taper sides £8
      Darts in back £6
      Reverse collar £6

Blouses:

     Shorten sleeves £6

Cushion covers:

      with piping with zip  £18
      w/o piping with zip  £13

Curtains (small):

      shorten with lining, approx £20 per curtain
